AMENITIES

Studio E9, located at 1405 E 9th St in Des Moines, is the perfect spot for your next small event that’s too big for you to host at home but not big enough for typical event venues. Examples include birthday parties, babies showers, wedding showers, family reunions, neighborhood events, and more.

Studio E9 can accommodate up to 35 guests for cocktail style and approx. 20 guests for a sit-down event. The studio provide chairs, tables and linens for 20 guests included in your rental. If you plan on having more people, we recommend bringing extra tables and chairs.

The studio, which is 800 sq ft, includes a kitchenette with dishwasher, sink, mini fridge and cupboard space. There is a large bathroom, which has a hanging rail for coats etc. Some furniture including a green leather sofa and antiques chairs are also in the studio and can be utilized.

The adjacent orchard is approx. 1/2 acre and has several fruit trees including apple and peach. Orchard usage is included in your rental. Please don’t park in the orchard.

HOW TO BOOK

Please use the easy online booking tool to rent the studio. Be sure to select the event rate, which is for either for four hours or eight hours. The rate includes the usage of the studio, courtyard, tables, chairs and linens. Be sure to book enough time for setup and clean up. Information on how to access the building will be sent to you in the booking confirmation. PARKING

Parking is available in front of the building or along the street. No parking in front of the garage doors as these are in use by tenants and building maintenance.

RULES

This is a mixed use building so please be mindful of any tenants living upstairs. The courtyard is shared so please be respectful if using this space. Please be mindful of neighbors when using the orchard. There is sound insulation between the floors but, again, please be considerate with noise. Please don’t use adhesives to the walls or use confetti, glitter, or smoke bombs. No smoking is allowed on the property.

LEGAL

The safety of the renter, clients and/or attendees while renting the studio and orchard falls under the coverage of the renter’s own certificate of liability insurance.

USAGE + CLEAN UP

Any set-up and clean-up time required for your event must be accounted for within the allotted rental time you have booked.  Please leave the studio as you found it. A cleaning fee of $80 will be applied at discretion if further cleaning is required after your rental. If using the kitchenette, please ensure the fridge is emptied and the countertops are clean. There are cleaning supplies and trash bags in the cupboards. Please report any damage. The renter shall cover the cost for any replacements due to damage. If damage isn’t reported, there may be added fees for time taken to procure replacements.

REFUNDS + RESCHEDULING

Thank you for choosing Studio E9 for your event. Please review our no-refund policy below:

  1. Non-Refundable Payments: All payments for studio rentals, including hourly, multi-hour, half-day, and full-day bookings, are non-refundable.

  2. Rescheduling: Clients may reschedule their booking. Please use the booking page to make adjustments to your rental, subject to availability.

  3. Cancellation: In the event of a cancellation, no refund will be issued. Please confirm your schedule before booking.

  4. Studio Rules: Clients must adhere to all studio rules. Any violation may result in the termination of the rental without refund.

  5. Force Majeure: If the studio is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions), we will offer to reschedule your session at no additional cost. Refunds will not be issued.
